Dredging planned for Spanish port Dredge pump hire

may be required by the company that wins the contract to carry out renovations at a harbour in Spain.

Works have been scheduled to dredge the entrance channel to Huelva Port and then pumping equipment will redistribute the silt and sand, Dredging News Online reports.

The deposits will be used in the foundations of a harbour wall around the port.

Tenders are currently being welcomed by interested parties who wish to bid for the contract.

It will last for two years and work is planned to begin as soon as a corporation has been selected.

The project is worth �14.5 million [�12.2 million] and those who would like to be considered for the scheme should apply to the Division de Proyectos y Obras before the September 30th 2010 deadline.
